The Perks of Being A Wallflower
I have finally finished the book I'm reading and I can finally look for a new book tomorrow. I won't be writing a lot just because I'll only speak about what happened at the end of the book that explains why Charlie is the way he is.
This book had a lot that I feel is relatable. And what makes it better is the fact that Charlie is such a detailed writer and most important, an honest writer. I would really recommend this book to anyone who needs a new book.
‼️ Spoiler Alert ‼️
At the end of the book, the last couple of pages all mention how while Charlie is with Sam one night he remembers something. Something he doesn't know if it's real or just a dream. You ever have one of those? When you remember something and you don't know whether you dreamt it for a moment or it actually happened. Well Charlie's memory was with his favorite person. His aunt Helena. He remembers her touching him. And as horrible as it sounds, he remembers it happening every Saturday when they would watch tv. Although this happened to Charlie, he was always more focused on what was going on around him now and what was most important to him, the friends and family.
He says "I guess we are who we are for a lot of reasons. And maybe we'll never know most of them. But even if we don't have the power to choose where we come from, we can still choose where we go from here. We can still do things. And we can try to feel okay about them."
I think I could relate to how selfless Charlie is and how important anything little thing is to him. Whether they were bad or good things he knew everything in his life was meant for him.
